A two-channel video installation

The video involves two types of images:
1) images of myself carrying or pulling a large masonite board, just small enough and light enough to be able to carry it, but dictates a certain pace, a certain sag in the shoulders, a tightness and strain around the knuckles.
2) images of commodity items, things in the process of being sold or rented, banners and blinking lights, are mixed with the quotidian street scene, the insignificant unseen and neglected un-commodified or disused objects.

These two streams of performing and observing are edited together so that there is a rhythm between the two channels, creating a discourse among images, a play of overlapping and distracting images, spaces, and signifiers, rather than a simple linear procession and recession.
