Carolyn Lambert is a multi-media artist whose practice is predicated in a process of research, speculation, and proposed combinations of seemingly disparate ideas and histories. Her performance, video and installation work has been exhibited throughout the North America at venues including the SculptureCenter, Exit Art, Proteus Gowanus, Flux Factory, and the Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts. She received her MFA from Carnegie Mellon, where she was subsequently a Fellow at the STUDIO for Creative Inquiry. In support of her work, Lambert has received funding from the Steinbrenner Institute, The Sprout Fund, The National Wildlife Federation and NYFA, and residencies at the Banff Centre, Berwick Research Institute and through the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council. She lives and has a studio in Brooklyn, NY.
